Consultation

Each project begins with a personalized consultation to see if we’re the right fit for your stationery needs. During this time, we’ll learn more about you, your event, and your vision. We’ll also discuss your design goals and overall aesthetic so we can create a proposal that reflects your desired scope, style, and investment.

Design

Once your proposal is approved, the design phase begins! We’ll thoughtfully create your stationery suite, focusing on cohesive design details that bring your vision to life. You’ll receive digital proofs to review, with two rounds of revisions included to ensure every element feels just right before production.

Delivery

After your final approval, your designs are sent to print and prepared for delivery. We’ll collaborate closely with our trusted vendors to ensure your stationery is printed to perfection. Delivery will be coordinated based on the scope of your project, ensuring every detail arrives beautifully and seamlessly.

We know there are many details to consider when creating your wedding stationery, and we’re here to make the process feel effortless, transparent, and inspired. Below you’ll find answers to some of our most common questions — designed to guide you with clarity and care every step of the way.

  • Absolutely. Our packages serve as a helpful starting point to understand investment and possibilities, but each suite is tailored to your vision. Once we discuss your preferences, we’ll create a personalized proposal that reflects exactly what you're dreaming up—both creatively and within your budget.

  • Invitation Card - The main card that formally invites guests to your wedding ceremony and reception.

    RSVP Card - Used for guests to formally confirm their attendance and meal choices (if applicable).

    Details/Insert Card - Provides guests with essential planning information, such as accommodation options, directions, and weekend schedules.

    Outer Mailing Envelope - The envelope addressed to your guest that holds all the pieces of the suite.

    RSVP Envelope - A smaller, pre-addressed envelope included for guests to mail their response card back to you.

  • A customized design element is any artwork created exclusively for you—think venue illustrations, keepsake maps, monograms, icons, patterns, or even portraits. These pieces are thoughtfully crafted to reflect your story and are typically done in watercolor or delicate line-art styles, adding a deeply personal touch to your suite.

  • Tactile embellishments are the luxurious finishing touches that bring depth, texture, and a bit of magic to your stationery. This includes ribbons, wax seals, vellum wraps, belly bands, envelope liners, or specialty constructions like gatefolds and trifold invitations. They’re the details your guests will want to hold onto.

  • Each Frolic & Fern suite begins with your story — your colors, your venue, and the feeling you want to evoke when guests open their envelopes.

    After you inquire, we’ll schedule a design consultation to discuss your vision and provide a tailored proposal. Once booked, we move into the creative phase: design, proofing, production, and delivery. Every step is handled with intention to ensure a seamless and inspired experience.

  • Yes! Each stationery design package includes two rounds of revisions to ensure your suite feels just right. Revisions cover small adjustments such as text edits, font changes, color tweaks, and slight refinements to any custom artwork. If additional rounds of revisions are requested beyond the two included, a small fee will apply for each extra round.

    Please note that a redesign—which involves shifting the overall art direction or creating new custom artwork—falls outside the revision scope. In that case, a new design fee and updated scope of work will be required.

  • We recommend reserving your spot on our design calendar 6–12+ months before your wedding date (or earlier during peak seasons).

    Save the dates typically go out 8–12 months before the wedding, and invitations are mailed 8–10 weeks before the event. Booking early ensures we have time to dream, design, and craft your suite with the care it deserves.

  • For save the dates and invitation suites, we require a minimum order of 50 invitations to ensure the highest quality production and consistency across your suite.

    For day-of design and paper goods, we kindly ask for a minimum investment of $250. This allows us to dedicate the same level of artistry and attention to detail to every piece we create.

  • Absolutely. We love creating cohesive paper stories that carry your design from invitation to celebration.

    Our day-of offerings include menus, programs, signage, place cards, seating charts, and more — all crafted to complement your suite’s design aesthetic.

    Please note we do not offer large scale installation at this time.

  • Our vendors provide a variety of professional printing techniques to bring your vision to life, including digital printing, letterpress, foil stamping, and embossing. Each method is chosen to best suit your paper, palette, and desired aesthetic.

    We’re happy to recommend options during your consultation that align with your style and investment.

  • Once your initial design is complete, you’ll receive a digital proof to review every detail — from wording and layout to color and artwork placement. This is your opportunity to make sure everything looks exactly as you envision before we move into production. You’ll have two rounds of revisions included to make adjustments as needed.

    Once your final proof is approved in writing, your suite moves into printing and production. At that stage, no further changes can be made. We carefully review every order before it goes to print to ensure quality and accuracy, and we partner with trusted print vendors who specialize in luxury stationery. You’ll receive an estimated turnaround time once your designs are finalized, and we’ll notify you as soon as your printed pieces are on their way!

  • Yes — we offer full assembly and mailing services for a truly seamless experience. From carefully stuffing and sealing envelopes to affixing postage and mailing to your guest list, we handle every detail with precision and care so you can simply enjoy the excitement of sending them out.

    Because of the time and attention this process requires, we take on a limited number of full assembly projects each year. This exclusive service ensures we can dedicate the same level of artistry and focus to every suite we touch.

    If you’re interested in adding assembly and mailing to your project, please mention it in your inquiry so we can confirm availability and provide a custom quote.

  • Yes — Frolic & Fern Fine Stationery works with couples across the U.S. and internationally. We’ll handle shipping with the utmost care to ensure your suite arrives beautifully packaged and ready for assembly or mailing.

  • Our couples typically invest $2,500–$5,500 for full invitation suites, depending on printing method, artwork, and embellishments. Pricing is inclusive of our design fee, materials, and shipping.

    Every project is unique — your final investment will reflect your chosen materials, finishes, and design complexity. We’ll provide a custom proposal after your consultation so you can make decisions with confidence and clarity.

  • Depending on our current schedule and your design needs, we may be able to accommodate rush projects for an additional fee. If your timeline is shorter than 8 weeks, please mention it in your inquiry so we can discuss options.
